Well, the Closing Ceremony might have been a bit of a let down, but that’s probably only because the rest of The Olympics were so bloody marvellous..
From Danny Boyle’s knighthood winning Opening Ceremony (surely they’ll give him one?), to our first gold coming from a ‘newbie’, to Super Saturday, to the Mobot 2.0, it was all powered by an amazingly good vibe that made me remember how great a city London can be.
I didn’t actually make it to any of the events, though my sister was intimately involved in the weightlifting (that’s her above).
I did watch Andy Murray and Laura Robson win silver in the mixed doubles on a big screen in Hyde Park and now, like many others, I’m missing it all. So if you’re like me, this rather wonderful motion capture film capturing a life in the day of the Olympic Park, should bring a smile to your face.
HT to broadsheet for the video.
