Lost Gloves #1: Esher Station

Earlier this year I wrote about the excellent film In Search Of A Midnight Kiss. Amongst the many lovely sub-plots in the movie is the one where one of the main characters photographs any shoes that she sees discarded on the street, an idea that seems to be based on a real lost shoe project.

Well, whilst walking around Dublin the other weekend I noticed a lot more lost gloves than lost shoes and decided to start cataloguing them (I know, I need to get a life). Anyway, this morning I noticed the first lost glove since I decided to start doing this and here it is: artfully placed on the fence on the Waterloo-bound platform at Esher Station – I wonder if someone put it up there to make it easier for the owner to spot it if they come back to look.

I’ll be cataloguing all of the lost gloves I spot both here & on flickr – if you see any, do feel free to send them my way with details of where you saw them.

  1. I used to do stuff like this (though not nearly as cool). Owing to a lack of camera I won’t be sending gloves but you’ve made me realise that I need to start doing awesome stuff again.

And no, you don’t need a life, you clearly have one and it’s full of very cool hobbies (ignore the naysayers, what do they know?).

  2. And just when you think it can’t get any shitter, along comes a company with a logo that looks like a sexually agressive frog. Imagine that!
