As part of the unfailingly poor Christmas TV on offer this year, last night saw an updated edition of Channel 4’s Rude Tube, the programme which shows the most popular clips from YouTube. Amongst the obvious ones, such as the Matt Harding’s Dancing, Sarah Silverman & Matt Damon (and the Ben Affleck response) there was one that I found rather strange: the video for the Norman “Fatboy Slim” Cook remix of Markus Nikolai’s tune Bushes.

It is a great video, showing as it does the reaction of a multitude of women having their most sensitive areas being waxed (get it? bushes?) and I’m not surprised that it’s been a viral hit on the web. What I’m slightly confused about is why it’s only just cropping up as Bushes was originally released way back in 2001. I also can’t seem to find the version that made it on to Rude Tube as the most views any of the versions I’ve found have is just under 60,000. Whatever, it’s a great tune, a great video and deserves another viewing.
