I was browsing around earlier and decided to check out a few PPC ads to see how the competition for one of our clients are handling things. Imagine my surprise when I clicked on a Skype ad, showing #1 for the phrase free international calls, and was taken to this page (image below in case they correct the error).
It seems very strange that
- Skype have made a mistake like this (and this one)
- They haven’t been Google slapped out of the results for taking UK searchers, searching in English, to a Russian website.
Maybe their PPC team just drew Russia in a sweepstake for the Euros and they got a bit carried away!
